The Electric State is better than you think.
There is a huge film series problem. Love is Blind to Squid Game can be TV franchises that keep fans coming back, but replicating the blockbuster movie has always remained elusive. Rian Johnson has found a footing with the most recent Knives Out movie, but it wasn't enough to get Army of the Dead and Rebel Moon off the ground. I was wary when the streamer announced that The Electric State would be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who had previously worked with the streamer on The Gray Man. The first-look images were confirmation that the film would seemingly be unfaithful to the original book, and I was cited in the movie's Wikipedia page as someone who expressed concerns. The Electric State looks like a lot of other sci-fi action movies, with flat lighting and crowd-pleasing shot composition. It is rare for a movie with a similar standing to have originality. There are moments of genuine pathos in this movie....

The Russo Brothers turned a post apocalyptic picture book into a car.
It seems that illustrated novels are having a hard time being adapted for the silver screen. It has only been a few months since the last ill-fated outing, "Here," in which author Richard McGuire's profound rumination on time, space and humanity was re-envisioned as a schmaltz-fest. Unfortunately, this is also the case.

The electric version of the MC20 was killed by Maserati.
Electric motors are better than internal combustion engines in many ways. They don't waste most of the energy you put into them, they're easy to control, and they make huge amounts of Torque almost instantly. The electric version of BMW's 430i and i4 was easier to drive in traffic and more responsive on a road. Electric wins. It seems like it is at the very high end. Even though electric motor cars can pack a punch, people are not interested in them. The all-electric version of the MC20 was canceled by Maserati. The MC20 was launched in 2020....

The true state of our union was revealed by Trump's use of humor.
Comedy is used in politics to engage audiences and make complex issues more relevant. In this long history, President Trump's address to Congress Tuesday night was remarkably different. I reviewed the last 30 presidential addresses to joint sessions of Congress for their use of humor and found major shifts in how Trump used humor. In this week's joint address, Trump used dire warnings about life in America with a high number of jokes. He made jabs at Democrats, made sarcastic comments about the economy, and bragged about his accomplishments. Despite framing the current state of the nation as one of unprecedented crisis, he injected humor at a rate far exceeding not only his own history but also that of other past presidents. In total, Trump made 21 jokes throughout his speech, compared to 24 jokes in his first term. He made 2.2 jokes per thousand words, the highest rate of any president in the last 29 years....

Alternative Media Insights
Note: As we venture into the realm of alternative media reporting, it is essential to acknowledge that not all sources are created equal. While some outlets offer crucial counter-narratives and insights, others pose a significant risk of misinformation, perpetuating controlled opposition or serving as wolves in sheep's clothing, intent on misleading their audience with agendas designed to confuse rather than inform.

During the final months of the Biden administration, the National Institutes of Health awarded $28 million to a mysterious venture-backed company called Vaccine Company Inc., whose chief financial officer happens to be one of former president Joe Biden's top COVID advisers. The grant from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health doesn't pass the smell test. The Vaccine Company has left virtually no public footprint showing what it has done with the taxpayer funds, which the Biden administration didled out to a seemingly random post office box in Maryland. In a letter to the Health and Human Services Secretary late Tuesday, she urged him to investigate why the Biden administration awarded millions of taxpayer dollars to the mysterious firm and to consider clawing back any portion of the reward that remains unspent. Like the over-medicalization of death, childbirth has shifted from being a natural process to one heavily managed by medical professionals. In high-risk cases, hospitals are crucial and not all births can avoid them. The dangerous aspects of medical intervention need to be mitigated. There are valid points to be found in both hospital births and home births, but it's rare to hear both sides presented fairly. You can learn more:
