The US House of Representatives passed a resolution to stop California from banning gas-powered cars. There is a resolution blocking the Biden Environmental Protection Agency's waiver that would allow California to ban petrol-powered cars and trucks. H.J. Res. California was granted a waiver by the EPA to ban the sale of new petrol-powered vehicles by 2035. The mandate would've caused a surge in driving costs for all working families, as it would've forced automakers to comply nationwide with EV mandates.
