Trump's Iran strike certainty is met with stiff resistance.

The Trump administration is struggling to convince skeptics of its claims that U.S. strikes on Iran have destroyed the country's nuclear program. In the past two days, a fiery Pentagon press conference and two classified congressional briefings have left one key question unanswered: How far was Iran's nuclear program set back? Speaking to reporters at the White House on Friday, Trump said his claims about Iran's nuclear sites had been proven. He said that it would be years before the Iranians could get going, and that they were not thinking about nuclear weapons. The Senate and the House were briefed by the CIA Director and other intelligence officials about the June 21 strikes on the Fordow Fuel Enrichment plant. The Democrats said the meetings failed to answer questions about how much enriched Iran still possessed and how long it would take for Tehran to resume its nuclear program. Lawmakers said they were not presented with any evidence that the attacks would prevent Tehran from making nuclear weapons in the future. There are too many unknowns for anyone to claim that Iran won't try to continue its nuclear program....

A self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist could be the next mayor of NYC.

After Zohran Mamdani secured the democratic nomination in New York City's mayoral race, billionaires like Bill Ackman and Elon Musk rushed to criticize the young politician and issue warnings of businesses likely to leave the city. Zohran Mamdani defeated Andrew Cuomo to become the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor. Mamdani was a little-known state assembly member who was unlikely to beat the former Gov. in the Democratic primary. Cuomo has a brand recognition and billionaire backers. His proposals, which included rent freezes, free bus fare, and city-owned grocery stores, were popular with New Yorkers who have faced rising rents and heaps of economic pain in one of the most expensive cities in the world. After Cuomo conceded the race this week, billionaires rushed to paint the young politician as a threat to business, democracy, and the Democratic Party because of his Democratic Socialist label and controversial proposals. The billionaires who were protesting lost money, donating to a group called "Fix the City," which received about $25 million in donations and spent a lot on pro-Cuomo ads. Some of the loudest voices were attacking Mamdani after his win....

SCOTUS clears the way for Trump and his successors.

The decision of the Supreme Court in the case of birthright citizenship has far-reaching ramifications. The granting of more flexibility to future presidents as well as to the current one is the big long-term impact. The power of the courts to stop actions in the Oval Office has been weakened. Whether that is a good or bad thing is seen through the lens of party loyalties. The decision is being celebrated by Republicans while being lamented by Democrats. The next time a Democratic president moves into the White House, those roles are almost certain to reverse. The high court didn't weigh in on the constitutionality of Trump's executive order to change the definition of citizenship. The automatic assumption that people born in the United States are American citizens regardless of their parents' immigration status is something Trump wants to change....

The media scrutinized Trump's health in the first term and turned a blind eye to Biden.

The cover-up of Joe Biden's cognitive decline is one of the biggest political scandals in recent history. The questions about Biden's mental acuity began when he ran in the Democratic presidential primary, but it wasn't until his debate against Donald Trump last year that his decline became obvious. The scandal has only grown in scale after revelations from tell-all books, the release of the Hur tapes and his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis. During Trump's first term in office, the legacy media did not hesitate to opine on the president's health and fitness. Speculation about Trump's mental fitness began even before he was sworn into office. The Atlantic's David Frum wrote "Twenty-Fifth Amendment to the Constitution" just days after Trump's election victory. There is an article in the 4th edition. We are going to be talking a lot more about it in the months to come....

Researchers say that body fat predicts major health risk.

Body mass index may not be the most accurate predictor of death risk. A new study from the University of Florida found that a measurement used to determine whether a person's weight is in a healthy range for their height is flawed. The study, which was published this week in the Annals of Family Medicine, concluded that one's level of body fat is far more accurate. The method used to measure participants' body fat is called bioelectrical impedance analysis, and it uses a device to measure the resistance of body tissue to a small electrical current. Researchers found that people with high body fat were more likely to die than people with healthy body fat levels. They were more likely to die of heart disease. The risk of death over a 15-year period from any cause was described as "entirely unreliable" by the researchers. The data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey was pulled from the study....

GOP leaders are trying to save Trump's mega bill.

Senate Republican leaders made changes to the bill late in the night in order to keep it on track for a vote on Saturday. Republican leaders increased the size of the rural hospital relief fund from 15 billion to 25 billion, with the money to be distributed over five years. The proposal doesn't go far enough to help rural hospitals, nursing homes and community health centers. The $25 billion rural hospital fund would allocate $10 billion in funding in 2028, another $10 billion in 2029, $2 billion in 2030, another $2 billion in 2031 and finally $1 billion in 2032. It would only provide a fraction of the federal Medicaid funding that states are projected to lose over the next decade because of caps on the use of health care provider funds. North Carolina would lose $38.9 billion in Medicaid funding over the next 20 years because of the capping of the provider tax rate. According to a Republican senator briefed on the parliamentarian's ruling, Senate Republican leaders cut language establishing a moratorium on new or increased health care provider taxes in states that did not expand Medicaid under theAffordable Care Act because it did not produce a substantial budgetary effect. They delayed the reduction of the cap on health care provider taxes in states that expanded Medicaid by a year....

Alternative Media Insights

Note: As we venture into the realm of alternative media reporting, it is essential to acknowledge that not all sources are created equal. While some outlets offer crucial counter-narratives and insights, others pose a significant risk of misinformation, perpetuating controlled opposition or serving as wolves in sheep's clothing, intent on misleading their audience with agendas designed to confuse rather than inform.

Kennedy stopped US support for the vaccine alliance.

The US is withdrawing its financial support for the global vaccine alliance, announced Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Secretary of Health. The new funding round has a goal of raising at least $9 billion over the next five years. Kennedy, who has long been skeptical of large-scale mass vaccination programs and experimental vaccines, criticized Gavi and the World Health Organization during a brief video address. He accused the alliance of ignoring health risks and safety issues related to the vaccines. Kennedy wrote in a post on X that the Vaccine Alliance neglected the key issue of vaccine safety in its zeal to promote universal vaccination. The key issue of vaccine safety has been neglected by the Vaccine Alliance. When vaccine safety issues have come before GAVI, they have been treated as a public relations problem. Kennedy questioned the safety of the combined vaccine against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis, claiming that research shows girls who received the vaccine are at higher risk....
