Musk is proving doubters right about why his service cannot scale.
Musk launched his Austin service nearly a month ago. The service has not scaled because it is not safe enough to remove human safety monitors, as argued by the host of the Community Tracker. On the very day that Musk expanded the boundaries of his ride hailing service in Austin, Tegtmeyer's car tried to run a railroad crossing just as a locomotive approached. The safety observer had to stop the vehicle until the train passed. He said on Monday in a post on X that there is a little bit of work that still needs to be polished up with the software, but otherwise it has been an amazing opportunity to see how well the expanded service is working. Tegtmeyer argued in favor of adding more cars to the roads in order to cut waiting times that had ballooned to 20 minutes. This isn't a surprise to the man. Over the past four years, he says the software has come a long way....

The new status symbol for CEOs is sleep.
It may be that the days of founders and CEOs boasting about surviving on three hours of sleep and a daily dose of Adderall are over. Peter Barsoom admits he was one of those guys who would go to sleep past midnight, wake up at 4:30 a.m., and then sit at his desk by 7:30 a.m. He now works between six and eight hours a night and swears by the Calm app. Barsoom is not the only one. The global sleep economy is worth over $500 billion, as consumers invest in everything from smart rings to $20,000 mattresses. Rest is becoming a status symbol in and out of the C-suite as sleep tech and biohacking go mainstream. Daniel Ramsey, CEO of My OutDesk, which provides virtual staffing solutions for businesses, recalls being drawn into the "hustle porn" that once dominated the mental Zeitgeist of Wall Street's prodigies. According to reports, Jack Dorsey slept only four hours a night, while Musk slept in his office....

Colorado is using cattle to help prevent fires.
As part of a growing effort to reduce the risk of wildfires in Colorado, cattle are being deployed to eat dry grass that often fuels fast- moving flames. 70 cattle were grazed on 35 acres of land near the park as a result of the partnership between the city and local ranchers. According to Paul Dennison, who is with Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, the grass height was brought down from three to four feet if left unmanaged. The Colorado region's mountainous terrain, dry climate, and frequent winds make it especially vulnerable to wildfire. Dennison said that using cattle to keep vegetation low can slow fire spread and give firefighters more time to respond. "As the cattle break up some of that thatch, we are looking at reduction of fuel height in the grasses, and we are also looking for some decomposition and degradation of the thatch that lies underneath the living grass," Dennison said. Dennison said that local ranchers bring the herd in by trailer and rotate them through five-acre sections over two weeks. The U.S. Forest Service uses cattle, sheep, goat, and fine fuels as a food source, even though most people think that cattle are the primary grazer....

After earnings fell by $300 million, Cardinal Health's CEO went 'ruthless' to turn it around, and he says workers backed him because they wanted to win.
Three years ago, Cardinal Health's earnings plummeted $300 million, and the CEO says "ruthless prioritization" was needed to turn the company around. The Gen X chief executive slashed business segments, slimmed down the company and didn't shy away from ruffling feathers with his new reports. Cardinal Health is one of the largest healthcare giants in America, supplying medical products and data solutions for over 90% of U.S. hospitals. Its operating earnings plummeted a few years ago as some segments struggled. It took some serious tough love for the Fortune 500 company's business to turn around under the leadership of Jason Hollar. Hollar tells Fortune that the cornerstone of the change management and the strategy was the concept of relentless simplification and ruthless prioritization. I use the word ruthless because I didn't want people to reprioritize everything they're doing. Before Hollar took over, certain segments were costing the health care company hundreds of millions of dollars each year....

The DOJ was hit by a wave of Trump firings.
A wave of recent firings at the Justice Department is a sign that the administration is not done with the purge of career officials as it seeks to shape the department under a second Trump term. The daughter of the former FBI director was fired without explanation. The Justice Department fired the head of the Chicago immigration court system after she gave a tour to a ranking member of the Judiciary Committee. The dismissal of at least 20 staffers who worked under special counsel Jack Smith came on the heels of those firings. There are marshals. The top career ethics official at the department, Joseph Tirrell, was fired last week by Attorney General Pam Bondi, the latest in a string of ethics officials pushed out by President Trump. When the firings are over, there's another wave. Blumenthal is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee....

'American Dream' is under attack as he battles the sheriff.
Brian wants the people on the beach to stop playing games. The singer told Fox News Digital that this is the American dream. I've been in the music business for three decades, so I want to have some sort of honesty and transparency in my music. Music brings all kinds of walks of life together for happiness and joy. I think I could walk out on the beach and people would be like, "Hey, man, it's nice to meet you, but just keep walking, because that beach access doesn't entitle you to a public beach." The 50-year-old recently sued the sheriff's office in Florida for a writ of mandamus, claiming they aren't doing their part to keep people off of his beach. "We're not getting any help, it's not getting anywhere, it's very frustrating, and I have to say, it's been a learning experience, because we're not getting any help, it's not getting anywhere, it's very frustrating, "Hopefully, we'll get some sort of resolve or some sort of communication that will come out of this that will basically draw the line in the sand, no pun intended."...

The men are all fighting-age. There are no women or children. Are they trying to stifle any civil unrest to the globalist agenda by building an army here? If the WEF or the UN want to impose something on certain nations, you need the police force and military of that nation to enforce it. In France and Italy, the soldiers and the police stand in solidarity with their citizens because they have a connection to them. What link have they got to me and you if you have an Afghan army? They have sympathy for the plight of Brits. None....

Children born with their genes from three people.
There are eight children who were born in the United Kingdom with a mother and father's genetic material. The method was justified because it prevented the risk of inheriting life-threatening genetic diseases from parents. After the UK changed legislation in 2015, the intervention technique became possible in British media. The first license to use artificial insemination in the UK was granted by the UK fertility authority to a clinic at a university. Four boys and four girls, including a pair of identical twins, have been born through the method called mitochondrial donation therapy. There are no signs of the diseases that the children risked inheriting. There is another baby on the way. As parents, we wanted to give our child a healthy start in life....
