Six politicians from the national-conservative party Alternative for Germany have died in a few weeks. There were deaths just weeks before the election. There is speculation within the party about the deaths of four candidates and two substitute candidates. Six people have died, as well as two people who have not yet been named. German police claim to be investigating all deaths, but no crime has been committed. Information about other causes of death has not been released out of consideration for the relatives of two of the deaths.
